Organikong Kalakaran: OK! sa Quezon 2013

The Organikong Kalakaran sa Quezon (formerly Quezon Organic Producers Association) in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Quezon celebrates the association's 2nd Anniversary with an Organic Agri-Trade fair at the Quezon Provincial Capitol and Perez Park grounds in Lucena City.




Organic products producers and farmers from the province proudly showcase their organic products and are available at affordable prices. Products on sale are ornamental plants, vegetables, organic and herbal soap, sweets and delicacies and rice.



Purchasing items and products on sale serve as support for Quezon's products and farmers.

Pasayahan Sa Lucena 2013 - Likas at Likha Trade Fair and Exhibit

Lucena City and Quezon is well-known as an agricultural province and is rich in natural resources. The place is also rich in heritage and culture.


Taking part in this year's Pasayahan Sa Lucena festivties, the Quezon Provincial Tourism Office and Pasayahan sa Lucena brings Likas at Likha Agri-Trade Fair and Exhibit.


True to its tagline - Showcasing The Best of Lucena and Quezon Province - the fair and exhibit showcases originally and locally made products, available at reasonable and affordable prices.


Trade and Exhibit lasts from May 20 to June 20 and is located at the 3rd floor of Pacific Mall Lucena. From May 25 to 28, the exhibit will be a feature attraction at the Gimik Republik.


Come and visit the exhibit and discover the native goods and products that Lucena City and Quezon Province has to offer!

Lucenahins are naturally artistic and talented, and value the arts and culture.



Such artistry, creativity, talent and craftsmanship of Lucenahins is featured through Pasayahan sa Lucena 2013's Painting and Mix Media Competition.



The event features works of art of our fellow Lucenahins and promotes awareness and love for the environment as it is a requirement that the crafts are made from recyclable materials.

Pasayahan Sa Lucena 2013 - Kusinerong Lucenahin

The Festivities are here in Lucena once again as the City celebrates its City Fiesta on May 30 in honor of St. Ferdinand the King, the City's patron. No fiesta will be complete without delectable and delicious food.



The City of Lucena and the Province of Quezon is rich in heritage and culture, as evidenced by products that are originally and locally made that are of export quality and patronized all over the country. From handicrafts to sweets and delicacies and original dishes, the City of Lucena and the Province of Quezon has it.


Lucena City is famous for its Pancit Chami and Tinapa (smoked fish). As per the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) standards, tinapa has been recognized as Lucena's One-Town-One-Product (OTOP).


There is no better way to promote Tinapa than to feature it at this year's Kusinerong Lucenahin 2013.

The event showcased the culinary artistry and talent of Lucenahins as Culinary students all over the City are invited to participate and create dishes featuring tinapa as an ingredient.


Marca PiƱa served as the event's sponsor and provided additional condiments to the participants' recipes.



Make no mistake about it! Lucenahins love to cook and eat! It's a delicious culinary experience like no other - Pasayahan sa Lucena!

Pasayahan Sa Lucena 2013 - Flores De Mayo

The Merry Month of May is the Festival Month for most parts of the country as a number of Cities and Towns celebrate their fiestas during this month. The City of Lucena will be celebrating its fiesta in honor of St. Ferdinand the King - the City's patron, on May 30.


It has been a tradition of Catholics all over the country to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title Queen of Flowers (Reyna De Las Flores) by conducting processions called SantaCruzan.


The SantaCruzan has always been a part of festivals and Pasayahan sa Lucena is no exception.


This year's Flores De Mayo features elegant designs from fashion designers based in Lucena City and Quezon Province. The event also gave the crowd a glimpse of the thirty (30) participants of Ginoo at Binibining Pasayahan 2013 as the candidates paraded wearing signature designs of the province's local fashion designers.



The Flores de Mayo also features a celebrity attraction, adding further elegance and beauty to the event and to the much delight of the crowd. This year's SantaCruzan features Ms. Jessie Mendiola and Mr. Ejay Falcon of ABS-CBN.



The participants for this years Santacruzan assembled at Pacific Mall Lucena, paraded from M.L. Tagarao street., then at Quezon Avenue and Merchan street. An awarding ceremony followed at Queen Margarette Hotel Downtown to formally recognize the participating local fashion designers.



It is always a delight celebrating the merry month of May with the festivities of Pasayahan sa Lucena!

Pasayahan Sa Lucena 2013 - COSayahan Cosplay Contest & Entertainment Night

Everyone of us is a kid-at-heart, and Lucenahins are no exception. And to kick-off these year's festivities, Pasayahan sa Lucena brings to you the COSayahan 2013.


Kids and kids-at-heart from Lucena City dressed up to their favorite video game and anime characters and participated in these years CosPlay competition.


The event is subdivided into three categories: The Chibi (kids), non-mecha and mecha categories. The competition showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of Lucenahins as the contestants paid strict attention to detail in order to portrait their favorite character to the fullest likeness as possible.


The event also gave way to recognizing the participants and winners of the Clean and Green Barangay Project of the City Government of Lucena.


The crowd was also given a primer and glimpse of the thirty (30) participants vying for the title of Ginoo at Binibining Pasayahan 2013.


After the COSayahan, it was a night of comedy and laughter as two stand-up comedians Monika and Gee Salonga entertained and delighted the crowd with jokes, songs and antics.


As a sign of the kick-off ceremony and upcoming festivities of this year's Pasayahan sa Lucena, a grand fireworks display was conducted - lighting up the skies to the much delight of the crowd.


The night's activities' main attraction is the free mini-concert of one of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) Industry's legendary, certified hall of famer and hit-maker bands, Side A.


The event is just a glimpse of the upcoming festivities and activities of this year's Pasayahan sa Lucena. Everyone is invited and welcome to watch all the other activities and events at Quezon Avenue and the Pasayahan main stage.


So fellow Lucenahins and Quezonians, come one, come all and join the celebration.. Tara na sa Pasayahan sa Lucena!

Pasayahan Sa Lucena 2013 - Night Market

The Festival season is upon Lucena City and the City proper is once again lighting up with all the colorful festivities in celebration of the City's fiesta on May 30.



The Tiangge & Baratillo Exhibit is on the side streets of the City Proper is a certified eye candy and featured attraction of the Pasayahan sa Lucena festivities and no better complement to it than the Night Market.



If you're looking for a way to just let time pass by or find items at bargain prices or entertainment, the night market is the right place for you.



For several nights leading the the City's Fiesta on May 30, Quezon Avenue will be closed from vehicular access. Shoppers from Lucena City and nearby towns will be flocking the City proper as business establishments and traders from Lucena City and nearby towns occupy Quezon Avenue, transforming the City Center into a Divisoria-like scenario.



The night market adds color and delight to the festivities of Pasayahan sa Lucena. Aside from various household wares, toys and clothing, the night market also offers food, booze and live entertainment as local bands get invited to the festivities - the night life in downtown Lucena surely is alive during this time of the year.



Visiting the place is easy.. Once you arrive at the City Proper of Lucena, you can't miss it. Just be sure to secure a good parking space and be forewarned of the huge crowd flocking the streets. Have fun and Happy Shopping!
